Did you know that 1 in 4 teens who begin using substances before the age of 18 become addicted as an adult? Are YOU willing to take that chance?
New Journey SDG and 836 Ministries provides a comprehensive approach that brings together the best of spiritual principles, modern medical practices, and professional counseling services. We understand what a difficult time this can be, regardless of substance use, and our goal is to help adolescents get the help they need to live a happier, more fulfilling life.
As an affiliate of 836 Ministries and Coastal Recovery Center, we look forward to reaching the next generation through New Journey SDG with a continued focus on client care and family health. We offer a relational approach to our patients and their families, emulating the importance of the spiritual component of health and well being. We emphasize family focused treatment that addresses the worry and fear for a teen that is at risk or engaging in risky behavior. Ultimately, our services are created to reach the family need as much as the adolescents.
Who Do We Treat?
We treat adolescents who are struggling with and/or vulnerable to substance abuse and other risky behaviors who are 12 to 17 years of age.

Medical Services - We understand that detoxification from substances can be uncomfortable, perpetuate relapse or continued use, and even be life-threatening. We provide an affordable alternative to outpatient (ambulatory) detoxification for most of our adolescent clients.
Substance Use Services - Many teens use for a variety of reasons, and this can lead to future addictions. Ranging from prescription medications to alcohol, marijuana, and illicit substances, we live in a society in which our teens are pressured to use and be medicated. Our program is comprehensive with a medical and counseling team to provide our clients with experts in the field that are licensed and certified to treat substance and behavioral issues.
Mental/Behavioral Health Services - We understand that teens are often faced with various struggles within this stage of their lives. Many adolescents experience anxiety and depression, but it goes untreated or self-medicated. Others may turn to self-injurious behaviors, which may include, but are not limited to cutting, violating personal boundaries, sexting, and engaging in other high-risk behaviors. This may alter a teen’s life trajectory. We are able to fully assess our clients and give them an appropriate diagnosis for treatment.
Adult Treatment - Coastal Recovery Center is an adult outpatient treatment program (Ages 18+), that works closely with adults struggling with substance use and addiction. Coastal Recovery Center is located in the same building as New Journey SDG. They offer a relational approach to their patients and their families, focusing on the importance of health and well-being.
